For the success of the next few generations it is essential that the world take on a number of assertions regarding the nature of Life on the planet.
By the world I refer primarily to the commercial world which has had a ‘free’ hand over the last generations. A hand enforced by the barrel of a gun. It has been an exploitative world, seeing the Earth as nothing more than a treasure trove to be plundered. These are known primarily as the ‘extractive’ industries, mining, drilling, hoovering the seas and raping the land.
The use of a little knowledge of Chemistry has lead to the creation of fertilisers and pesticides that work in direct opposition to the forces of Life on the planet, not to mention the development in genetics to create sterile seeds which infuse the Life cycle with Death in the form of infertility.
Firstly, Life did not begin on Earth but is a gift to the planet from the wider Cosmos, and has taken billions of years to evolve to the point where a moderately sentient being has evolved which is capable of ending Life in its current form on the planet through that creature’s lack of self-control and greed.
Next it is necessary to appreciate that the Earth is a closed loop system. It can be called a bountiful feast. It is essential to grasp is that the systems we recognise, and many others we don’t, support one another. This is called a closed loop. Everything feeds back to everything else.
At the base of such systems are concepts which proceed from beyond the realms of Life alone. Such systems and laws are determined in the highest frequencies of the Source of All that Exists. This was studied by the Ancient Greeks as the polarities. Not simply heat and cold, density and sparsity, light and dark, but the significance of such forms as circularity, sphericity, linearity and the relationship between them. Geometry and Stereometry, Motion and Stillness, and the varieties of their expression and the sources from which each is derived.
Taking the notion of circularity we can readily see how the closed loop is a circular economy. This has been explored in the collection of poems called Aniara by Swedish author Harry Martinson, and expressed in the song Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth by Donovan. This last is a restating of the long poem Works and Days by the Greek poet Hesiod from 700 or 800 years BCE. Don’t pollute the water being one of the major memorable points in each of these presentations.
When we include Sphericity we find that the Earth consists of a series of shells surrounding a single centre, like a Pearl surrounding a piece of grit. The crust, the core and the mantle are recognised by geologists, and, to a limited degree the layers of the atmosphere, which being gaseous are far more mobile, by meteorologists. These are almost certainly not recognised, for example, by the airlines which daily penetrate them, disturbing the entire ‘ecosystem’ as it punctures that layered system, at the same time polluting the levels with exhaust fumes of a carboniferous origin. Birds complain that the air they fly through – and breathe – is no longer the pure air they are used to, but stinks. At the same time it stings the eyes as these chemicals originate in the depths of Earth where they serve a purpose of their own, unknown to human awareness, in service to Life.
Until humanity recognises this ‘Circle of Life’, something far greater than merely humanity, we will continue to make the same mistakes and claim that they are to our advantage. It is not the case that the extinction of species is to our advantage. Each species represents a unique perspective on life, and fulfills a unique role. As souls incarnating in the animal, as well as the human, kingdom, we explore these different attitudes and approaches to life through incarnating into the different families of Life. Every one is precious and essential to our individual full and further development. The unique properties of each species are not generally recognised by human science.
