There are those who declare the Old Gods are dead and that they no longer fulfil their functions in this world, that these have been superceded and outmoded. Instead they have been replaced by a single vindictive God who declares himself to be a jealous God and a vengeful God. He sits aloof from His Creation and only intervenes when His whimsy takes Him.
This was never the way. Each of the expressions of the One holds to His or Her function and serves the world as ever before.
Known by their various names they retain their functions as Justice, Truth, Peace and Honour. These are Laws fundamental to Creation itself. They cannot be ignored, any more than Karma can be.
These Gods are still demanding of their tribute, and those failing to act in accord with these principles will suffer the fall attendant upon their crimes and misdemeanours. You cannot defy Gravity simply by denying it.
