Awakening to a New Era

The Age of the Bible is ended. I say this again and again in the hope that some will understand what I am saying. The Earth goes through cycles, like the rest of the Universe. Nothing is fixed but All is in a state of constant flux and change. There are those who take comfort in the phrases ‘its the way of the world’ and ‘it was ever thus’ but these are platitudes without any depth or reality to them.

The Bible recorded the travels and travails of a small group of people through as period of our history during which the Earth has been cut off from the wider family of planets and stars to which we belong. People in Europe invented bizarre interpretations of the universe including the idea that the Earth is flat. While there may be philosophical validity to this interpretation in some fashion, the factual reality has been established as vastly different from this.

Due to this extended period of introspection or self-absorption, self-intoxification we may call it, we have forgotten the wider universe to which we belong. The idea of setting foot on the moon has become a gauge of the triumph of our sophistication. Having lived in fear of one another for so long the idea that there may be life ‘out there’ is inevitably couched in terms of conquering and subjugation. Any interest of alien races is gilded in terms of our age old fears. We have forgotten the difference between wariness and outright terror. This has lead to us becoming more and more noisy as a species and accepting the roars of engines and interminable drones of factory machinery as they deaden our senses even further. We are afraid of silence. Yet all of Nature lives in silence with rare breaks in that for calls or celebration. Creatures listen, man does not.

Now as we move forward on our journey of re-integration with the rest of life in the Galaxy we must learn again these skills of silence and awareness. We must learn to listen and to find a new way to express our relationships with one another. It is founded on respect. We will not conquer the stars through firing missiles at the sky no matter how much money Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos throw at it. We will find the stars are already conquered and home to a multitude of civilisations each willing to share with others the wonder of being.

For those still living a Biblical story the future must look bleak, and seeing others as their enemies will seek to use the old tools of violence to re-affirm their presence. There are those who are seeking to create Armageddon to prove that they are masters of destiny, not realising the race is moving in an entirely different direction. These shadows pass and while we may feel the grief of famine and warfare inflicted on others as on ourselves still we move towards a united world in which humanity will become again worthy of the name. This is the future I look towards. A future of worlds sharing the joy of life together in peace and harmony, somewhere so close we only have to waken to it.

The Solar System is part of a coalition of stars which together form a Cosmos. This revolves around a single centre with other Cosmoi. Each of these have – say – about a dozen star systems in them. Each star system has living cultures and civilisations on some at least of its planets. If we suppose there are 8 such Cosmoi floating around the central sun within the Galactic Ocean, and this a single body among many others, it is likely that in our sector of the Galaxy alone there are 120 civilisations equal to and many surpassing our own. Imagine living in that world. A world where travel is simple and easy between systems. Not the bullets in the sky approach humans on Earth adopt, but sailing craft that cruise on streams of energy flowing easily between stars. This technology already exists, but some governments don’t want you to know we are visited by others. They fear for their own importance and position, so they breed fear through secrecy and misinformation. After all, fear is their only weapon. Fear and insecurity. We are returning to that Galactic civilisation, when we get our act together. As for the fear mongers, they fall off a rapidly changing world and chase their own destinies elsewhere far from Earth.

I can do no better than echo the words from a song of my youth.

“Out of a land of shadows and darkness we are returning towards the morning light.”

Have a nice trip.
