Loss of Forests – A Double Whammy

The Earth has few resources wherewith to cool herself against the reckless promulgation of radiation perpetuated by the human race since the use of Radar and Radio came in during the middle of the 20th Century.

One of those, of course, is the use of the ocean currents to bring cold water from the Poles to higher up the globe. But with the rapid heating of the planet, the ice packs at both ends of the planet are melting fast. The same is true for the glaciers and high snow fields of the mountains.

This naturally holds no interest for those pursuing their ‘quest for knowledge’, chasing rainbows and Cern particle accelerators in their determination to make a name for themselves.

The other major source of cooling is the transpiration from the trees and plants. It will be recalled that the plants established themselves before the animals came into view. They were the primary sources of oxygen in the atmosphere, whether in the sea or on land.

But now our forests are burning. Sometimes because of malicious idiots and ignorant pyromaniacs who get a kick out of seeing something destroyed, or simply put their own pleasure before the rest of Life on Earth.

So we lose not only an oxygenator for the atmosphere, but also a major source of cooling for the air, through the water lifted into it by the trees which now stand naked and burnt through human carelessness. The uncontrolled exploitation by the commercial world cannot be called anything other than human carelessness.

Time to start caring.
